A little bit about me

Hello! I'm Robynn Farkas, and my students call me Miss Robynn. I am a retired executive with 30 years of experience working in educational settings. My husband and I live in Rochester, and we have six grown children and recently welcomed our third granddaughter. I am a trained vegetarian chef, baker and lifelong learner. This year I have been working with K-4 multilingual students at a local charter school.

I have training in social emotional learning (SEL), and of course, I am a Nanna with all the prestige that comes with that title.

Raising three children, caring for my grandchildren and working at elementary and secondary schools as a paraprofessional ESL teacher.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to teach, and I easily form friendships with kids. I like to play educational games, take kids on outings to parks, children’s museums or special age appropriate activities. It’s fun to read books and do puzzles too.

For infant and toddlers I like to make sure they are clean, comfortable and cozy. I also love to cook, and making delicious healthy meals and snacks is a lot of fun. Kids like to make cookies, pizzas and surprises for mom and dad.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is being there for the children when they need someone and their mom or dad is away. I am a calming, consistent and warm person and connect easily with children.
