More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience working with children across a wide range of age groups, providing attentive supervision, support, and care while helping maintain a safe, positive, and welcoming environment. My experience includes assisting with daily routines, engaging children in activities, supporting their individual needs, and ensuring they feel comfortable, included, and cared for. I also have experience providing assistance to children with special needs, which has helped me understand the importance of patience, flexibility, compassion, and adapting my approach to each child. I understand that every child is unique, and I strive to create an environment where they feel safe, respected, and supported. I take my responsibilities seriously and value clear communication with parents and families to ensure their expectations and their children’s needs are met.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy creating fun, engaging, and educational activities for children that encourage creativity, imagination, and learning. Some activities I can help with include arts and crafts, painting, drawing, DIY projects, reading, educational games, outdoor activities, and hands-on projects that allow children to explore new interests and discover hobbies. I also enjoy coming up with creative ways to keep children entertained while helping them build confidence, develop new skills, and learn through play. My goal is to make each day fun, meaningful, and age-appropriate while encouraging children to express themselves, stay curious, and try new things.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe being a nanny is about more than providing childcare. It’s about building trust, creating meaningful connections, and being a positive influence during important stages of a child’s development. I see this opportunity as a way to grow as a person by developing greater patience, resilience, understanding, and compassion. Working with children teaches you that everyone grows and learns at their own pace, and progress comes from consistency, encouragement, and understanding. I believe being a nanny will help me become more adaptable, strengthen my problem-solving skills, and better understand the importance of supporting others. I value the opportunity to learn more about child development and create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, loved, and encouraged to be themselves. Ultimately, I want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families while carrying those lessons of empathy, responsibility, and care into my relationships with loved ones.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience assisting children with special needs and understand the importance of providing patient, compassionate, and individualized support. I strive to create a safe, comfortable, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, respected, and encouraged. I understand that each child has unique abilities, needs, and ways of communicating, and I am willing to adapt activities and routines to help them feel supported, engaged, and included.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments working with children was seeing a child who was initially shy and hesitant gradually open up through a creative activity. We spent time making little crafts together, sharing ideas, and letting their imagination lead the way. By the end, they were excited to show off what they had made and proudly explain the story behind it. Seeing their confidence grow and knowing I helped create a space where they felt comfortable expressing themselves reminded me why I enjoy working with children so much. Sometimes, it’s the smallest moments that make the biggest difference, and that experience reinforced my desire to continue caring for children and helping them learn, grow, and feel confident in who they are.

Glenda Deliz T. - Seeking Work in Orlando

Part-Time Nanny Available in Orlando, FL: Glenda Deliz T.

Hello! I'm Glenda, an experienced caregiver, mother, and grandmother in Orlando. I worked in an Early Head Start program caring for toddlers ages 1-3 (feeding, diapers, naps, play-based learning) and cared for children at a school in Puerto Rico. I also help care for two children in my family on the autism spectrum, so I understand routines, patience, and calm transitions. I'm a native Spanish speaker: I speak Spanish with your child all day, and little ones pick it up through play — not a Spanish teacher, just Spanish at home. I also offer senior companionship and pet care; I'm a certified pet groomer and have loved animals my whole life, even nursing a litter of sick puppies back to health. Licensed Florida real estate agent (background-checked), OSHA certified, driver's license, CPR renewal in progress. My English is limited — I communicate best in Spanish and use a translation app for messages. ¡Hola! Si buscas que tu niño escuche y viva el español en casa, aquí estoy.
