Hi. I am an experienced child caregiver who will be like a substitute grandmother to your child. My depth of experience is caring for infants but I also obtained a degree in elementary education. And took graduate level classes for working with gifted & talented children with learning disabilities.

I served at the ARC (Association for Retarded Citizens) caring for adults with disabilities for eight+ years. And I substitute taught elementary school while my children were in elementary and beyond.
My favorite experiences were caring for infants to preschool age children. But I love all children because they have beautiful hearts and work seems like fun to me when I care for them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing about being a nanny is helping the children in my service be safe and loved, and the care I give to them in their parents' place that the care is equal, or nearly equal to the love and caring of their parents.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked for the ARC-Association for Retarded Citizens for eight years. I took a training for Autism teaching, but have not followed through to get certified.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When my children were teenagers, it was difficult for them to find encouraging words to me. I was feeling unappreciated. But when I walked into the room where my nanny children were, I saw their eyes light up to see me and big smiles on their faces. It gave me a feeling of warmth and appreciation. But I was the one who appreciated them!
