More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been caring for children since I was 18 years old, starting with working in after-school programs in my neighborhood.
Being around children has always been something I truly enjoy and find rewarding. After raising my own three children, who are now adults, I decided to continue doing what I love by working as a nanny for the past five years.
These experiences have given me a strong understanding of children's needs, patience, and the importance of creating a safe, loving, and fun environment for them to thrive.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging children in fun, age-appropriate activities that encourage them to learn, explore, and use their imagination.
Whether it's singing songs, coloring, playing board games, reading stories, or enjoying childhood favorites like hide-and-seek, I enjoy making everyday moments fun and special. I love discovering the world through a child's eyes and creating happy memories while helping them learn and grow!

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is making a child feel safe, loved, and cared for, just as they would with family. Building trust, being patient, showing compassion, and creating a fun and nurturing environment are so important. I believe it's about more than just caring for children; it's about being a positive influence in their lives, supporting their growth and development, and making sure they feel happy, confident, and valued every day.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with special needs through my 13 years at The Children's Hospital at Montefiore, as well as through my personal experience caring for a child with special needs within a family setting. These experiences have taught me the importance of patience, understanding, compassion, and flexibility. I believe every child is unique and deserves to feel loved, supported, encouraged, and included. I always strive to create a safe, nurturing environment where each child can feel comfortable and thrive at their own pace.

Babysitter Available in Stamford, CT: Sofia M.
I’m currently a senior in high school, and I have previous experience working with children as a counselor. I genuinely enjoy spending time with kid and creating a fun, welcoming environment where they feel comfortable. As a counselor, I planned and organized activities to keep children engaged and entertained. I’m also a very creative person who enjoys arts and crafts, and storytelling, so I love finding fun and imaginative ways to keep kids busy. I read to children weekly so I love doing story time. Additionally, I speak Spanish, which allows me to communicate with Spanish-speaking families and children. I’m also happy to help with meal prep, tidying up, and general light housekeeping to make things easier for busy families. My goal is to create a fun but safe environment where children can learn, play, and build a healthy relationship with children while parents relax.
