More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

In Novato CA, I started taking care of Sophie when she was 3 months old, up until she was 3 when I started caring for her and her newborn sister, Evie. I worked for the Retz family for 7 years total and continue to spend time with them whenever I can. Going to their school functions etc. The Retz family has changed my life. They took me in as one of their own. It has been one of the best experiences of my life.
I’m hoping to find another great match like that one.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to be outside with kids and look at the leaves, birds, seeds, flowers, bugs and snails.
I also love reading books to them and talking about what’s going on in the stories. I love playing in the mud, laughing and singing and dancing with them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most about being a nanny is love. I believe love is an action word. Keeping the kids safe is important. Also, showing them respect and kindness. Doing things that show them I am always there for them and will be there and love them, no matter what.

My experience with special needs children...

For about a year I volunteered working with autistic, Down syndrome and other mentally challenged kids, leading horses that they rode. They learned to give commands to maneuver/control the horse. This gave them confidence. I enjoyed being with them. Precious memories.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There have been so many great moments with my kids, it’s difficult to narrow it down to just one. But the first one that comes to mind is when Sophie was eating a bowl of blackberries we had just picked. She was about 2 years old and she had blackberries all over her face. I took a video of her and asked her if she was getting any of that on her face to which she replied, “Nope.”. It was hilarious.
There are so many precious and funny things I have in my memories.
