Baptist Hospital in N. Kendall Dr. in the Nicu as a nurse practitioner for a year and I have my bachelors degree in child development for special needs autistic care and teacher degree . I’m also very experienced because I had twins. They’re now 17 years old boy girl and I’m very experienced on hand trained with medical needs medical supplies and children entertainment you can call me Miss Mary.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Watching movies going to the park. Playing Xbox or puzzle games grocery shopping , playing in the yard singing lullabies , reminding the children to always speak up if they ever feel there’s a stranger bothering them , for their own safety precautions. Guidance counseling on bullies. /bullying Also self respect techniques , that are not offensive.
Giving them responsibility for there own area teaching cleanliness and hygiene at home so they are well molded into clean adults. For there parents to have less hassle. Over all becoming there life long study buddy that takes care of them while parents work , I feel that children are often misunderstood in certain things my entire perspective is to allow a child to gain confidence to be himself /her, , so they are comfortable to have me as a friend. , in any matter if they ever have a secret we can learn to manage an outcome or avoid delay or depression on set , for prevention. This may actually be the best gift I offer during service.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Showing the kids they are heard and I acknowledge there words. Always being on time and firm with words so they understand when play time is over and nap time is to rest. Showing them respect with love and discipline before confrontation, I used 1/5 method in counting. It’s worked everytime. With out a doubt . Meal prep always on time children get cranky when sleepy or hungry. It’s a good time to organize clean up during there nap time. Beats all odds . Never fails.
My experience with special needs children...
My kids, honor roll and humble super sweet and tough overall. They graduate next year. I have a boy and girl twins 17yrs old. Both whom were born with disabilities due to prematurity. Miracle babies and now. Are 100% capable to fend on their own in the world. Very well manured and very respectful. I’m proud they call me mom. No longer are they battling with delays or Disiblity. A miracle all cause I was there and walked them through everything . I’d do it better every opportunity I get. It would be an honor .
