Hello! My name is Rowan. Are you looking for a nanny? I would love to step in! Childcare is truly where I thrive; from the activities to the snacks, and the tantrums to the tussles… I find it all very rewarding.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I previously worked at a daycare, which I provided combined care for toddlers, pre-k, and occasionally infants. My typical day included snack and meal preparation, toileting, soft and hard play, supervision and safety awareness, and other general childcare.

My experience with special needs children...

I am available to work with high-functioning special needs children. My experience revolves around neurodivergent children with ADHD and/or autism spectrum disorder. My specialties include helping children through tantrums and helping them understand and express their emotions in a healthy way.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I first started at the daycare, I had never put a child down for a sleep before. Most of the children could fall asleep on their own, but a few children needed some help. Sitting next to their cot, I placed my hand on their back and patted them softly. It took about 15 minutes for them to fall asleep, but I tell you, in that moment I was so proud of them and myself that I found it difficult to keep myself contained. Putting children to sleep is still one of my favorite things in childcare— they’re one of those quiet moments in which you can fully appreciate them.
