Working with children is my heart's passion. I studied early childhood development at UVA. My care philosophy is to be the person that I needed as a child. I am attentive, emotionally mature, engaging, supportive & nurturing. I enjoy crafting, scrap booking, painting & puzzles. Over my 15+ yrs. I honed the ability to modify activities to fit the age of the child in my care. I am an avid reader. Storytime is a definite part of my bedtime routines. I encourage routine to promote structure & to decreases stress for both parent & child. Fresh air and outdoor time is vital. With parental permission, I enjoy spending time on walks and in the outdoors. In my previous positions I escorted my charges to music classes, gymboree, out for walks & even to commercial auditions. I drive and own a reliable car. My love of children and the fact that I never lost my child-like wonderment make me a wonderful caregiver.
