I am a very crafty person so finding a fun craft to do is my specialty, but I also love to do outdoor games such as kickball and four square (my personal favorites.)
The most important part about being a nanny...
I want every child to feel accepted and loved by the people they are around. I have worked with many different kids, and I always focus on finding a way to keep them involved and understood in a way that works best for them. Each child requires a different type of care.
My experience with special needs children...
During my time aiding in a kindergarten classroom, I worked with two students with different levels of autism. One struggled with communicating and needed more help when doing work. The other was more verbal and tended to be able to do his own work but needed some guidance. They offered me a learning experience and I ended up growing very close to them throughout my time. I loved learning how each of their needs varied and which techniques worked for one and not the other.

During my time as a summer camp counselor, I enjoyed being a safe space for some of the kids when they felt like they needed someone to talk to. One of my biggest motives in working with children is to be a safe person they feel like they can come to when they need it.
