Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Mentored an elementary student during high school as part of a local mentoring program. During my second year of college, I volunteered at a parenting support facility helping care for young special needs children while parents were at meetings. I have worked in multiple settings with children in Connecticut schools. Most of that experience has been with Autistic children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts and crafts, imaginary play with props/toys, puzzles/games, reading, coloring, costume/ dress up, drawing/coloring, sensory bins, bubbles, treasure hunting, swings, and playground.

Is having a natural connection with the child(ren) that carries care and unconditional love while building up their self-esteem and spirit.

My experience with special needs children...

Has been working with Autistic children in a therapeutic setting implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis through programs that build on several areas of skills that help build independence. I have mainly worked with ages 4-9yrs in an Autism educational facility.
