More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I am a dedicated and compassionate childcare professional with experience working as a preschool teacher in the CPI room, specializing in supporting children with behavioral needs. I am CPR and first aid certified, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in my care at all times. My background has given me the skills to create a nurturing and structured environment while fostering learning, emotional growth, and positive behavior. I am passionate about providing individualized care and helping children thrive in a supportive and engaging atmosphere.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging children ages 1-12 in fun, enriching activities that support learning and creativity. For toddlers, I focus on sensory play with playdough, water tables, and finger painting, as well as music and movement activities like sing-alongs and dancing. Storytime, puppets, and imaginative play encourage early language and social skills.
For preschoolers, I incorporate arts and crafts, nature walks, scavenger hunts, and early STEM activities like simple science experiments. I love pretend play, setting up a “store” or “restaurant,” and organizing outdoor games with obstacle courses and sidewalk chalk.
For school-age children, I encourage creativity through DIY crafts, storytelling games, and beginner sewing projects. I also enjoy board games, baking, and helping with homework or reading challenges. Outdoor activities like team games, biking, and exploring nature keep kids active. My goal is to create a fun, supportive environment where every child can grow, learn, and thrive!

The most important part about being a nanny...
Although I haven’t yet held the official title of a nanny, my experiences as a preschool teacher and my personal journey caring for children have shaped my view on what truly matters in this role. I believe the cornerstone of being a nanny is building genuine trust and fostering a nurturing environment where each child feels safe, loved, and understood. It’s about connecting with children on a personal level—listening to their needs, observing their unique personalities, and adapting to support their growth. Whether it’s establishing a comforting routine, creating engaging activities that stimulate their minds, or simply being a reliable friend, a nanny’s role is to offer both care and guidance. For me, this commitment to empathy, respect, and individualized attention is what makes nurturing children so rewarding, and it is the heart of what I aspire to bring to every family I work with.
My experience with special needs children...
I have valuable life experience working with children with special needs, both professionally and personally. In my preschool classroom, I work closely with autistic children, providing patience, structure, and individualized support to help them thrive. I use visual schedules, sensory activities, and calming techniques to create a comfortable and engaging learning environment.
Beyond the classroom, I have spent extended time with my young nephew, who is autistic. This experience has deepened my understanding of the importance of routine, clear communication, and a compassionate approach. I’ve learned how to recognize sensory sensitivities, manage transitions, and provide reassurance in challenging moments.
While I don’t have formal certifications, my hands-on experience has given me the ability to adapt to different needs, foster social-emotional growth, and create a supportive space where every child feels valued and understood.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a preschool teacher happened during an outdoor obstacle course activity designed to boost confidence and teamwork. I noticed a usually reserved child hesitating at the start line, reluctant to join in. With gentle encouragement, I invited him to participate in a simple relay race with his peers. At first, he was anxious about keeping up, but as the game unfolded, his cautious steps turned into determined strides. His face lit up with excitement each time he completed a section of the course, and the cheers from his classmates made him beam with pride. That day, I witnessed firsthand how a nurturing, supportive environment can help a child overcome hesitation and embrace new challenges. It was a powerful reminder that with care and encouragement, every child can discover their inner strength and shine.
