More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience caring for children 6 weeks to 12 years old in both one-on-one nanny/babysitting settings and a licensed daycare, where I worked for one year. I'm experienced with feeding, diapering, preparing meals, planning age-appropriate activities, helping with homework, and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment. I'm dependable, patient and enjoy helping children learn and grow. I'm looking for a long-term, full-time nanny position with guaranteed hours and am available for occasional evenings and overnights when planned in advance.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy planning age-appropriate activities that are both fun and educational. I love reading books, arts and crafts, outdoor play, trips to the park, imaginative play and sensory activities. I also enjoy baking simple treats together or preparing simple meals. Most importantly, encouraging creativity, learning and active play.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting relationship with both the children and their family. I want every child to feel safe, loved and encouraged while helping them learn, grow and gain confidence. I believe in creating a fun, structured, and nurturing environment where children can thrive and parents have peace of mind knowing their child is in caring, dependable hands.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children with autism, ADHD and other developmental needs through both my work in daycare and by regularly caring for my younger broth with both autism and ADHD. These experiences have taught me the importance of patience, consistency, positive reinforcement, clear communication, and adapting to each child's unique strengths and needs. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where every child feels valued and can thrive.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite memories was asking having each child add their thumbprint and/or sign my graduation stole before I graduated. It's one of my most treasured keepsakes because it represents the love, trust, and joy we shared every day. Seeing their excitement and knowing I made a difference in their lives meant so much to me.
