My experience with children began during my senior year of high school when I took a college course that placed me in a kindergarten classroom for 2 months. That experience inspired me to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education. During my sophomore year of college, I began working at a learning center, where I’ve gained hands-on experience with every age group—from infants to school-age children. While I currently teach toddlers (one-year-olds to early two-year-olds), I’ve worked in every classroom throughout the center. In my classroom, I plan and lead daily activities, lessons, sensory play, arts and crafts, and early learning experiences that help children grow, learn, and have fun. I truly love helping children reach new milestones and creating a safe, positive environment where they can thrive.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
One of my favorite things to do with children is hands-on sensory play! I love creating sensory bins with things like colored rice or sand, scoops, cups, and small toys for children to explore. I also enjoy planning fun arts and crafts, reading stories together, and doing activities that encourage creativity, learning, and imagination. There’s nothing better than seeing a child’s excitement when they’re discovering something new!
