A little bit about me

Hi!! My name is Sabrina but most people call me Brina. I have recently graduated college and am starting graduate school this fall. I’ve been working with children for as long as I can remember, with babysitting starting in middle school, to working at a preschool during my college years. In high school I even had the opportunity to take a childhood development class to teach a first grade class for the day. To say I love being in childcare is an understatement. Although it’s not my career choice it is my passion project on the side. I will forever love children’s curiosity and passion for exploration. I promise to keep things fun, creative, and as screen free as possible. I have a lot of experience finding alternatives to sitting on an ipad due to my preschool being a screen free environment. I also have experience in baby care and absolutely love babies! It keeps my baby fever at bay (which my boyfriend is grateful for). I would love to talk and learn about your littles!!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

At the YMCA Childcare Center, I had a blast helping little ones aged 1 to 5 grow, learn, and get ready for the big adventure of grade school! As an Assistant Preschool Teacher, I helped spark curiosity through fun lessons and playful motor skill activities. I teamed up with parents to support each child's development, cheering them on through every milestone and messy art project. Every day was filled with energy, creativity, and lots of tiny high-fives and hugs!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Adventures and walks outside! Park visits! Coloring and (sneaky) motor skills like learning how to hold crayons or use scissors! Children’s museum and event visits!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Young ages are an extremely important developmental stage and having good care helps with growth into a functioning little person. Nannying is important to help the families. Mom and dad should not be worried that their kids aren’t getting love and care because they are at work. Their jobs (both career wise and parent wise) are so important and being able to help them is sooooo crucial to keeping everyone happy and healthy together. (There’s nothing wrong with asking for help)

The most important part about being a nanny...

To pick one would be impossible but I had a kid I connected with who mailed me a christmas card (with parents help) that inside had magic for me to stay with him forever because he loved me too much for me to go back to school. I cried.
