Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I grew up being a babysitter for a wide range of ages, and taught kindergarten through a child development program through my Highschool. While attending my first year of college, I was an in home Caregiver taking care of people ranging from age 15-90. I have helped out a few family friends with their newborns recently as well, and absolutely love it!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’d love to do arts and crafts, work on learning(reading, writing, math, etc.), go on adventures outside, play at the park, and whatever other interests the child may have.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a Nanny to me is to be sure that the Parents, Children, and Nanny are all comfortable and understand what is expected. It’s important to not only make sure that the kids are safe and taken care of, but that we can create a bond and they can enjoy themselves!
My experience with special needs children...
Once again, I helped with a special needs class in high school, and some of my patients while I worked for Assisting Hands in Hoke Care, had special needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite memories is when I was nannying some kids for a family with three young kids. I was staying the night with them, and they got nervous and wanted to stay in the guest room with me. The youngest girl climbed into bed with me, and while she was sleeping she randomly threw up all over me! It was one of those moments where it’s so horrible all you can do is laugh and clean it up. That’s also one of the moments I realized I really wanted to be a mom one day. I learned to love those kids so much, it didn’t even matter if they threw up all over me and the bed haha!
