Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Reading books, making arts and crafts, taking them to the pool (I am a certified lifeguard as well), cooking and baking, watching movies, playing board games, hide & seek OF COURSE, going to the park, playing sports outside, dancing, singing, the list goes on and on! I’m still a child at heart so :))
The most important part about being a nanny...
I personally believe the most important parts about being a nanny are trust, reliability, and passion. Trust is one of the most important elements to effective communication and I value having a truthful relationship not only with the parents I work for, but also with the kids I work with. Reliability is another huge factor that I value as a nanny. I have always been big on being punctual and ready to work when it’s my time to shine. I think it’s incredibly important to not only be reliable but to also be dependable. If I give you my word, I will keep my word. Ultimately, I have always adored spending time with babies and children. I am an only child myself and I have a passion for working with children. This is something that I think is incredibly important when working with children, regardless of their gender or their age. I don’t just want to show up and make money, I want to show up and bring a big happy smile and a positive attitude to your family’s home :))
My experience with special needs children...
While pursuing my psychology and neuroscience degree at the University of Arizona, I was a peer mentor for a program called “Project Focus” which encourages non-degree seeking special needs students to attend university classes, learn the importance of gaining their independence, and create lifelong friendships with their peers and mentors.
When I was still in high school, I worked with a little boy for about two years who had Autism when he was 7-9. I also took care of a little girl with Down Syndrome for three summers in a row when she was 4-7.
In addition, I have a first cousin who is the same age as me (23) and has a severe learning disability and is non-verbal. I feel very excited to work with Special Needs children, as I have quite a lot of experience and am always up for a new challenge!

The most important part about being a nanny...
When I was 21 years old, I had the opportunity to travel with one of the families I have been lucky enough to work for. This one family in particular has 6 kids and I had worked with their family for about 2 years prior to this vacation we went on. While working with their kids, I was teaching them Spanish. So we took a trip down to Mexico and they practiced their Spanish skills with the local children and hotel staff. I had the time of my life playing on the beach with their children all day and watching movies and reading bedtime stories after dinner and bath time.

Full-Time Nanny Available in Austin, TX: Jessica M.
I’m a mom to a sweet 9-month-old little boy and I’m looking for the right family to provide full-time childcare for their little one while allowing me to bring my son along with me.
I’m looking for a family needing **40+ hours a week** who is comfortable with a nanny bringing her own child. Ideally, I’d love to find a family with a little one around a similar age so the babies can grow, play, learn, and socialize together.
I’m open to providing care in your home or discussing care in my home, depending on what works best for everyone. I’m also comfortable taking the children on age-appropriate outings such as parks, libraries, story times, children's activities, and other fun adventures.
I’m looking to build a long-term arrangement with a family where there is trust, communication, and a genuine connection.
