A little bit about me

I’m a 33 year old stay at home parent to a 4 year old daughter. I was a professional nanny for 10 years prior to exiting to work on my own family and I was a private consultant in the child care field for 5 years. I have education and training in early childhood development and education, and continue to maintain personal professional development in Montessori practices, Steiner, Reggio Emilio, Forest School, and Waldorf, and believe in science based parenting.
I have experience as a private educator, as an educator in a preschool setting, caring for and creating a stimulating and age appropriate group environment in a private setting for up to 4 children, HNW families, NDA’s, WFHP, HP families, family management and personal assistance, and my specialty ages are 8 and under.
I am a physically active human who believes there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was caring for a child who was speech delayed. And I had started when baby sibling was just born and mom was transitioning back to work after mat. leave. Mom had already contacted Early On services and SLP started in home not long after me. After a short amount of time my charge went from barely mumbling to one day running to side entrance door exclaiming, “Mama!” as mom walked in. What a big moment for me to hear my work with them and their progress transition into such a powerful choice of first word at such an important and meaningful time for mom.
