A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Samaiah and I’m 19 years old, currently attending Las Vegas College and studying to become a Medical Assistant with plans to graduate in December! I have 6 siblings so I LOVE hanging out and spending time with kids. I’m very outgoing and really love having fun, going on adventures, going on bike rides, and etc! I’ve worked with kids since the end of my Sophomore year of high school and absolutely fell in love, I volunteered at a middle & elementary school Junior and Senior year and had a complete blast. I am not CPR certified at the moment but will be the second week of July, I also have a car and valid drivers license and speak fluent English. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered at my siblings middle/elementary school with the kindergarteners, 3rd graders, & 5th graders during my Junior & Senior years of high school. I’m also the oldest of 6 so being around children and getting to care for them watching them grow also especially warms my heart.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing arts and crafts, reading stories, playing educational games, helping with homework, outdoor activities, and encouraging creative play. I also enjoy building positive relationships with children, helping them learn new skills, and creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment where they can grow and feel confident. I like doing a bit of everything!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being very attentive and being able to multitask, being very gentle knowing how to talk and problem solve with young kids. Asking parents questions you would need to know and making sure the kids you’re nannying are comfortable as well as their parents.

My experience with special needs children...

At one of my dance studios we had a dance called Darby’s and we had our partners and they all had special needs, my partner had Down Syndrome and we had the best time together. My younger cousin also has Down Syndrome and she’s a ball of sunshine, I love working with kids that have Special needs!
