More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was an assistant volunteer teacher for a kindergarten class for a whole year.The volunteer job was for an ECE class I was taking at the time but I loved it so much I kept going even after I was done with class. I was also an after school teacher for kindergarten students and 2nd grade students I created lesson plans for all these jobs and was able to engage and go on trips and stuff with the children. I was also a daycare teacher I worked with infants which was amazing the babies were 3months + I also worked with the toddlers which were alot more out going of course and were always happy for play time. I also worked with the preschoolers and the middle age kids. This daycare was called bright horizons. I have also babysat for peoples kids around the neighborhood.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

When it comes to activities it all depends on the age group.

Infants- Activities I enjoy to do is belly time and allowing the infants to look at colors with toys. I also like to go out on walks depending on the weather.

Toddlers- I love having them do activities that involve a lot of hands on such as water works and art things I love painting and coloring. I also love signing nursery songs and singing the ABCs in different speeds it excites the children. I like to watch movies with them ones that are fun to watch but they are also learning from it. I also like doing outdoor activities such as museum's and parks and other fun places toddlers can run around and do hands on stuff.

The middle age children- I have more of open options when it comes to the older children because they already have their own likes and dislikes so I allow more of a open basket with fun things to do we can have fun but also learn from what we are doing. I like to do board games and art with the kids.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure the children always feel comfortable and SAFE! As a nanny you are that child's 2nd parent you should always feel like home to that child you should love that child as if they were one of your loved ones as well. Grow a bond with children be their peace and safe zone children will never forget the faces who took care of them and loved them.

My experience with special needs children...

When I worked with the kindergarten class I worked with special needs students and they were the most amazing and loving little humans I loved all of them like they were my own. They were so smart and outgoing just needed a push here and there. They took alittle more time than others but they were no different. When it came to behavior I had different methods to calm them down and knew to talk to them in different ways that helped any problem they were having. I always made sure they were involved in class and also working with all the other students because again they are no different than the others, they just need a little more of a push to do things.

The most important part about being a nanny...

my favorite memories were all the smiles each day I worked with all these children and all the laughs and great moments we had. But my biggest favorite memories are the ones seeing the children grow and by the end of the day and by the year we see all the improvements either in the grades in their academic track or just in how they act.
