Hi! I'm Sammie (: I'm 22 years old and I have 2 littles one of my own. A 2.5yr old girl named Anastasia who LOVES to play and talk and is super social. And a little boy named Samson who just turned 9m! I would love a job I can work in my home so my girl has more interaction with kids her age. I've been babysitting since i was around 15, all ages from 8weeks to 7rs. I love children and I'm also a huge animal lover (having 2 dogs of my own). More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have babysat for about 5 years now. Family, friends, neighbors, etc. I've cared for ages 8weeks all the way to 7yrs. Anyone who needed it! I love seeing how fast our little ones grow and just how smart they can really be!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to read, color/draw and build with the little ones I watch! Anything artsy and creative is my favorite (: Seeing everything they create and how well they understand is so rewarding!!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I feel like the most important part about being a nanny is creating a trusting relationship with the family and realizing how important it is to understand the way the parents want their child to grow and learn! How one parent raises their kid may be completely different to another and it's imperative to be able to adjust to each family you work with to fit their exact needs.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for a set of sisters (when i was 16) aged 4yrs and 3m who were both, unfortunately, subject to drugs during the pregnancy. As a result of that, they were significantly developmentally delayed. I loved helping and watching them finally hit milestones. The amazing things our little humans can overcome is incredible. I am beyond proud everyday of how much they have accomplished over their years!

I also have experience in caring for kids with ADHD. I have cared for a little boy (aged 5) and little girl (aged 6) that both had struggles with it. Both were diagnosed while I was a part of their family so I was able to see their behaviors on and off medication. I've learned from both that it can present very different from kid to kid and that practicing patience and understanding is key to bettering the care you give to them!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is definitely when the kids don't want me to leave! I cared for a family of 3 kids (3,5&7) and everyday when i would say "alright guys it's my time to go, i'll see you all tomorrow" they would give me at least 5 hugs each to make me stay just a littleeeeee longer haha.
