More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have 15+ years of experience. I can help with Light Housekeeping and Cooking/Meal Preparation. I am a graduate of the University of Memphis with a degree in Child Development. I have worked with children with developmental delays as well as behavior. I've worked with 1st and 2nd graders at a Montessori school as well as being a SpEd assistant. I have worked at Porter-Leath head start as an agency floater. Volunteered at a local Job Corp Center alongside a mental health specialist, assisting with grief counseling and mentor to students on campus. I also, worked at Boys & Girls Club as a center mentor. My love for children and background in Child Development makes me a great candidate for position.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy nature walks or scavenger hunts, painting, drawing, and coloring, preparing healthy snacks together, puzzles and board games, reading books aloud and acting out favorite stories or creating puppet shows, amongst other developmental age appropriate games....

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for the children in your care. Creating a physical and emotionally safe space is very important. Where they can feel both loved and protected is a top priority. Children need a nurturing environment this help build trust and emotional support. It is very important that a child sees consistent behavior in a loving environment. To grow into a developmentally functional adult...

My experience with special needs children...

I enjoy engaging children with special needs in enriching experiences depending on their individual needs: things like sensory play, arts & crafts, therapeutic activities like meditation and breathing exercises, creative play, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the most adorable things I have experienced as a nanny. Is one of my precious ones telling their parents, that they had the bestest time ever and wanted me to always be their nanny. That just made my heart melt with joy.
