A little bit about me

I’m Samantha, but most kids call me Sami. I grew up in Washington state and moved to Louisville 6 years ago. I worked in child care when I was a teen, mainly babysitting. I’m now 36 and have an almost 5 year old daughter who would be with me at work with your family. She’d been nannying with me for the last almost 3 years and is amazing with all ages. I would love to take them out places (approved by the parents of course) to have hands on experiences in nature as well as the science center, zoo, or anything else fun in the area. I am open to all parenting styles and willing to learn and stick to yours. I am First Aid and CPR certified. I currently work with one other family on Tues, Thurs, Fri…but they don’t “need” me anymore (just keep me on for my sake and a little extra sanity) and are willing to give up days if I find the right family. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Babysat in my teens.
Cared for 2 kids for 3 years (ended at age 9 and 14).
Grew up with 10+ close cousins and I’m the 2nd oldest.
Currently have a child of my own who turns 5 in December
Recently stopped nannying 2 boys age 1.5 and 4 as older started school. Was their family nanny for 2.5 years!
Nanny currently for a 2.5 year old, since he was 10 months.
Nanny for a little girl from age 6-10 months for 4 months before she moved out of state sadly.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love craft projects, and hands on learning activities. I’m always finding new things on Pinterest to help my daughter learn and play at the same time. We love outdoor activities! Whether it’s going on a short hike, finding a playground to go to, splash parks, a creek, or just backyard activities! I love showing littles new things in nature and seeing the awe in their eyes. I like keeping active most days which I find keeps the kids entertained and excited. Summer weather makes that easy, winters are spent inside more (but not completely) and getting creative with our activities.
