I have been a Kindergarten teacher for the past year. Prior to that, I was a student teacher at various elementary schools in Leon County. In those positions I have worked with students of all ages and have been able to care for their emotional and academic needs.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love going to the park, pool, doing homework, watching movies, and going on walks. Kids love being outdoors and it gives me a chance to get some exercise in!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Assisting the parent so that they are able to handle what they need to get done. I also find it extremely important to be there and do what is necessary to make a child feel emotionally safe and cared for while their parents are out.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with special needs children during my time as an educator. I have experience working with children with Autism, developmental delays, speech and language difficulties, and intellectual disabilities. I am able to offer the time and patience needed to work with these children in order to fulfill their needs.
