More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My experience with children dates back to when I was 15, when my younger brother was born (yes, a 15-year age gap, crazy I know!). I often babysat for my mother, and it sparked a passion in me! Not too long after, I began volunteering at children’s summer camps and eventually became a camp counselor; I did this for most of my teen years. Here, I worked with children ranging from 4-12.
In university, my passion for childcare led me to pursue a BA in psychology with a certificate in ABA therapy. Upon graduating, I began working as an ABA therapist, working mainly to support children with autism, but occasionally ADHD as well. Here, I worked with children ranging from 2-17.
I began working as a part-time nanny 2 years ago! I worked with 2 families, with 2 and 3 children (ages 4 & 9 and 10 months, 2 & 5), and I worked with both families for over about a year!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Every child is unique! In my experience, I like to gather information about each child’s interests and personality from their parents so I can create activities they genuinely enjoy.
Children have such big imaginations that practically anything can be a fun activity or turned into a game ! They learn and explore the world through play, so these moments can always be an opportunity to challage them, build confidence, or teach them something new.
I have fun doing just about anything ! Arts & crafts, baking, sports, reading, outdoor play, but being present and engaging by showing genuine interest is where the difference lies between child care and enrichment.

My experience with special needs children...
As an older sister to a brother with autism and a speech delay, I’ve been a caregiver from a young age. I helped him with daily routines, practiced communication through play, and learned early on how to lead with patience and understanding!
Professionally, my time as an ABA therapist allowed me to support children with ADHD, autism, and AuDHD. I focused on building social skills, managing big emotions, and creating personalized strategies to help every child feel confident and supported in their own unique way!
