I'm Sandra, a creative, empathetic, care-taker who loves art, learning, and teaching. I have worked in the service industry for 7+ years and always viewed that work as a form of caretaking also. Right now I am currently looking for a change of pace and I am looking back on my job at The Dance Emporium. As I became the first face they saw every day, the kids (age range 3-17) formed bonds with me, be it coming in and telling me about their day, showing me their new dance shoes, or simply never forgetting to say goodbye as they left. The instructors had me help them watch over classes, prepare them for recital, and if a kid needed to leave class because of an emotional issue, I was always there to help calm and refocus the student. I believe my social, emotional, artistic, and learning skills would be best used in this kind of setting. I can provide homework help, making meals, and plenty of activities like crafting, theatre, and music.
