I was an elementary teacher from first grade to the fourth grade. I was also active as a parent volunteer in the elementary grades. I was elected to the Merced City School District and had contact with thousands of students in my years on the Board.

I can read to children, do artwork, reading lessons, story time, creating their own stories and poetry.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love children and children are attracted to me in the grocery stores, or wherever. They wave, blow kisses and smile. Mothers always comment that their child doesn't do that, as a rule. Pets and children seem to have the same response to me.

We did a lot of singing, drawing and coloring and telling original stories, The children would tell a story from a few words I would give them. They loved that.
