It went from taking care of my brothers and sisters to cousins. Then one day I said hey I love kids and kids love me. I should get paid to do this. My first paid job was a non verbal special needs child. I taught him sign language, I’d cook, clean, create activities and provide a routine that would be just enough for him to be comfortable and not freak out. I’ve been self employed for some time and it can get really boring sometimes and I miss working.
