Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
At 20yrs old I began working with children at church, so total, I have 47 yrs experience with kids. I am 67, and healthy and passionate about kids.I worked at a family care drs office for 5 years til we had kids. We had 3 kids in less than 3 yrs and I became a stay at home mom, occasionally keeping other kids as needed. Once I became a grandma, I was a full-time grandma, keeping them all at least once or twice during the week and then taking to school and picking up. Grandchildren are now 8, 9, 12, 13, and 16 yrs old. The oldest began driving during Christmas break. I’ve got more free time. I don’t have a lot of paid childcare experience. I did work as a daycare sub before covid hit. Early on I began reading & studying parenting books and have also led parenting small groups. I love doing kids crafts and playing games and teaching them about nature. I love unplugged activities. I also have a heart for “helping a momma out.” Life can be hard, I know.
