I have been a nanny for an infant 6 weeks when I started and took care of him for 5 yrs for his working parents. Took care of bathing, feeding-bottles, clothes, nursery orderliness and cleaning. Made sure he was given the best care and attention as well as mental stimulation in learning.

The most important part about being a nanny...
What always sticks out to me is that you are giving the mom peace of mind to do her job. I want to make sure that my job is making sure that I am the next best thing to momma herself and that the child is very happy and secure.
My experience with special needs children...
I took care of a child that was extremely autistic. He was on strong meds and needed extra care. He was nonverbal and I needed to be extra sensitive to know what he wanted and was saying.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Always ! I had one position in which I cared for 3 children for 3 different moms. We would do fun activities and take long walks in a 3-kid stroller. :) I had a big room with lots of toys and they had a blast both inside and outside in the courtyard playing with toys.
