More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
While I was in high school, I volunteered at an elementary school where I helped support teachers and students in the classroom. I assisted with reading groups, homework help, and organizing activities for younger children. This experience gave me the chance to build patience, communication, and leadership skills, while also deepening my passion for working with children. It showed me how rewarding it is to encourage learning and be part of a child’s growth.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love planning activities that are both fun and educational. Some of my favorites include reading stories together, doing arts and crafts, playing outdoor games, and exploring nature. I also enjoy helping with puzzles, board games, and simple cooking or baking projects that let children be creative and learn new skills. For school-aged kids, I like to incorporate activities that support learning, such as practicing reading, writing, or math through games. I find that mixing play with learning keeps children engaged, active, and excited.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny for me is creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children feel cared for and can grow. It’s about building trust both with the children and the parents while providing consistency, patience, and positive guidance. A great nanny not only meets children’s daily needs but also encourages their development, independence, and confidence in a loving way.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children with special needs, which has strengthened my patience, adaptability, and ability to provide individualized support. I understand the importance of consistency and creating a safe, structured environment while also being flexible to meet each child’s unique needs. Through this experience, I have developed strong communication skills, working closely with parents to follow care plans, reinforce therapies, and encourage children’s independence and confidence. Supporting children with special needs has been both meaningful and rewarding, and it has taught me the value of compassion, creativity, and attentiveness in childcare.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was helping a child I cared for finally read a short story on their own after weeks of practicing together. Seeing their excitement and pride in themselves reminded me why I love working with children being able to support their growth and celebrate their milestones is truly rewarding.
