"Santina always had such a fun and great attitude. She worked really well with our 7yr old son. She was always playing games with him and would bring him on fun adventures to the park , aquarium etc. Since she was a school aid she was also able to assist in homework which was a big help.
She also helped with food prep and organizing our sons playroom.

During my senior year of high school I was part of a part-time internship where I would spend half of my school day at the Elementary School I went to. I was a student teacher with my own fifth grade teacher, however she was the science specials teacher so I taught all of the kindergarteners, first, and third graders in the school.
I got the ability to learn different ways to engage in what my future will be but also basic teaching and studying tips I could use to help tutor, as well as more behavioral management abilities to use as a Nanny, and good organizational skills as well. It also taught me I can work with a big group of kids at once and different ages too!
I also have done a mission trip to Baja California, Mexico to care for the children at Door of Faith Orphanage and cooked them food, told them stories, built them a rec center, played with them, gave them hair cuts, taught them basic english, etc.

My experience with special needs children...
During my internship in high school as a student teacher, I dealt with a multitude of different specials needs. However, I have only been a nanny for a 7 year old that had extreme ADHD for 1 years.
I am completely open to caring for children with special needs, as long as I have some instruction and guidance based on the needs they have.
