If the family allows TV time, I keep it age‑appropriate and balanced. I’m always happy to play with toys and join in on activities — I honestly have just as much fun as the kids do.

My experience with special needs children...
or about three years, I cared for a girl named Jaylen (Lulu), who has moderate to high special needs. We built a really strong bond — she would try to talk to me even though she rarely communicates with others, and she trusted me enough to let me do her hair, even though she’s very tender‑headed and usually hates it. Even though I don’t babysit her anymore, her mom still reaches out whenever she wants me to come do her hair.
