I worked as a camp counselor at camp Bonnie Brae and a youth and family counselor while earning my bachelors in Psychology at the University of New England. Since graduating I have worked as a nanny for 2.5 years and I’ve loved it.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing art and music with kids. Being outside as much as the weather permits is important to me in this role. I enjoy activities outside of the house with the kids like going to museums, libraries, and parks.
My experience with special needs children...
During my 2 years with a recent nanny family, one of their toddlers was diagnosed with autism. ABA therapists came into the home multiple times each week. I worked alongside them to learn new skills to implement. She is very sweet and has a big personality, so it was imperative for me to learn skills to help me understand her, her needs, and what makes her happy.
