Listening to the kids and providing a safe, clean and protected environment. Making sure that the kids are being watched very carefully for their safety is also a top priority.
My experience with special needs children...
I have been able to have a few experiences with children who have special needs; especially those with Down Syndrome. They have been insightful and beautiful at the same time. I also have a nephew who has Asperger's & ADHD . I enjoy helping all types of people and children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I was watching my oldest nephew and he was being silly and giggling. He always made me laugh and was such good little guy, even though he could be mischievous. Those are some of my favorite memories of him, because now he is almost 30 years old. I also got to babysit for my nieces when they were little & enjoyed singing to them and playing with them. I especially enjoyed watching my youngest niece play mommy to all of her baby dolls. And now, she has a real live baby of her own. I always knew that she would be a great mom.
