A little bit about me

Hi I am SaraBeth. I am looking for a child care job… I have a lot of experience when it comes to caring for kids and my own personal experience with my siblings. I am semi- fluent in American Sign Language and am comfortable with special needs and medical kids. I am comfortable giving medication and other daily services. I have cared for a special needs sibling since I was six and am quite used to being in hospitals and doctors offices. I know CPR and First Aid and am certified through the Red Cross. I am very reliable and enjoy working with kids.
I am comfortable with dogs. I do not smoke or anything like that and only want a no smoking environment. I have Ministry safe training and have worked with 15+ kids on a weekly bases.

The most important part is to help however I can. I want to make the parents and child as comfortable with whatever situation I can.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a special needs sister (heart problems, hyperketonic hypoglycemia, and lung disease), and my brother had non verbal autism until he was six (lost diagnosis). I have been helping care for my sister for almost ten years. I am also a special needs buddy at church.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite child care moment was when I was running childcare for an esl program and was able to teach a little girl to write her name. The way her eyes lit up was so special and it’s a moment I will never forget
