More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am currently an Elementary Art Teacher where I get to make crafts with all the kids in the school. I also was an RBT, for about a year, where I learned ABA therapy for children with Autism. I work with kids ages as your as 18 months to 6 years old. I've worked at a before and after school care programs along with summer school activities working with kids from preschool aged to middle school.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really love finding each child's favorite thing to do and expanding on that. I personally love crafting and doing fun projects or activities. Being outside and playing games like chase or basketball is always fun. I love all the girly things like playing dress up or a tea party as well.

I think the most important part of being a nanny is communication and figuring out what works best for your family.

My experience with special needs children...

I was an RBT for a year in which I taught a range of different techniques to regulate emotions, potty train, handle maladaptive behaviors, basic learning skills, and functional communication skills.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was lucky enough to hear a kid with autism speak their very first words at the age of 5 years old. I feel incredibly honored to be there and be apart of his journey of vocal communication. The look on his mom's face was unforgettable as she squeezed her son tight knowing he said his first words.
