A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Sarah. I have two sisters and come from a family of five that values family time. I love photography and almost any game, craft, or art project. Additionally, I love taking children on outings such as walks or to parks.
My previous childcare experience starts with working in my church's infant room since I was 9 and continues with my four nephews ages 23, 18, 14, and 10. I have been a babysitter to a full-time nanny for children ranging in age from 3-months to 21-years-old. Including a set of infant triplets. I have even successfully watched up to 7 children at once. My roles in children's lives have been very different, but I have loved each one!
I am CPR/first aid trained. I have an associates degree in Early Childhood Development and 2 certificates from NVCC.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My previous childcare experience starts with working in my church's nursery (ages 0-3) since I was 9 and continues from there! In the past, starting when my youngest nephew was about 9 months, I have babysat all four of my nephews by myself, which may not seem like a big deal until you factor in that the 23-year-old is nonverbal autistic and the 14-year-old is verbal autistic. This adds a layer of difficulty which makes any combination of children seem like a breeze. I have also been a part-time nanny for a 6, 5, and 2-year-old, a part-time babysitter for a 3-year-old and 15-month-old, a part-time babysitter for an 11-year-old with special needs, a part-time nanny for a 6-month-old, a nanny for an 8, 5, and 2-year-old, a full-time nanny for a 21-year-old with special needs, 9-year-old twins, an 8, and 3-year-old, and I have singlehandedly cared for infant triplets from 4 to 8-months-old. My role in children's lives have been very different, but I have loved each one!

My experience with special needs children...

Additionally, I was a part-time babysitter for an 11-year-old with special needs, she has CDKL5 and a 21-year-old with special needs, that included a feeding pump and feeding tube!
