Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Counselor - I was a camp counselor at the Town of Manlius Recreation Summer Camp in 2022. I spent the mornings with kindergarteners and first graders. I was also a counselor in training for 3 years before I became a counselor. I assisted the counselors in taking care of the kids.
Babysitting - I have babysat for a few families in the area. I also nannied for one family in the summer of 2020.
I am the oldest of 4 kids and have grown up babysitting my siblings as well.

The most important part about being a nanny is building trust not only with the kids but with their parents as well. It is important for parents to build trust with their nanny because they are putting the responsibility of caring for their children in the nanny's hands and should feel safe and comforted knowing that their nanny is doing a good job. It is important for kids to build trust with their nanny because they need to be able to feel safe and be able to easily communicate their needs and feelings throughout the day.
