Being present to them and attuned to their emotional state is important as well. It is important to be compassionate but also someone who can guide and set a good example.

Having a picnic in the backyard in the woods with fairy lights and exploring nature with 3 adorable kids I used to nanny with and seeing them light up. Playing dragons and being silly on the swingset. Honestly, just seeing them be so joyful is what sold the moments for me and made them so memorable.
