Hello families!

My name is Sarah! I’m a career nanny with extensive infant and toddler experience who has worked with children, in various environments, for over 10 years! Being by a child’s side as they learn, grow, play, and explore is truly, the best part of my day!

I believe children learn best through hands on play and exploration - which is why you’ll never catch me without an awesome activity for your little one to explore - my ultimate goal is for them to have a blast! I also believe independent play is vital for a developing mind; your child and I will begin to build a foundation of confidence in themselves and their creative abilities!

Overall, the right family for me would be open to approved outings (even if just a stroll through the neighborhood!) and have a gentle but reasonable approach to guidance (I must be able to say “no” and set positive boundaries when necessary). I have been an Infant Nursery Supervisor, ECE Lead Teacher for 5 years (one’s and twos), and a nanny in two separate nanny shares with two children in each (started when babies were 4 months until age 2).

Much like schools follow learning themes, I create learning plans for each child I work with that includes art, sensory play, fine and gross motor activities, literature, music/movement, outdoor time, and much more!

First and foremost - being a consistent, caring, and positive person in your child’s world! Secondly, being a part of your village as a parent! I know it can be incredibly tough trusting someone to love and care for your little the way you do, and I strive to be a trusted and reliable hand!

The most important part about being a nanny...

There are too many to count! But recently, one of my littles has been working on using their words to communicate with a friend. Last week, they went up to their friend and finally shared their feelings in a full sentence vs. yelling/hitting (as they did previously before we started expanding on self help words and gentle hands)! For me, seeing all the practice come full circle is the most rewarding part of being a nanny!
