Hi, my name is Sarah, I'm 25 years old and I'm currently seeking a summer/ yearly position in childcare where I can bring my energy, creativity, and experience to a loving family environment. I have loads of hands-on experience working with kids of various ages and developmental stages. I take pride in being a responsible, honest, and nurturing caregiver, while also bringing a fun and imaginative approach to childcare. I love spending time outdoors and enjoy engaging children in creative activities. Cooking and artistic projects are two of my favorite hobbies, and I enjoy sharing those interests with the children I care for. I'm also happy to assist with light household duties such as tidying, laundry, and running errands. I am patient and supportive through every stage of a child's growth. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

- I currently work in the school district as a special education paraprofessional with elementary school age students.
-I also do in home ABA services
-I was a full time nanny for a family for two families
- I was an Assistant teacher at Lightbridge Academy Program which I cared for infant - pre schoolers age range. I have 6 years of child care experience with many families and many different age groups.
- I have experience with special needs children/ children on the spectrum.
- My previous position was a behavior technician/ ABA Therapist for children who have autism at Prism Autism in Farmington, CT.
- I gave guidance to children under the age of 7 years old with daily challenges and life skills.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some indoor activities I love to do with kids are drawing, arts and crafts, some sensory activities to help their developmental skills if they are under a certain age. I also would play outside with kids since I love being outside, take them to the park, for a walk, or make up a game outside. Some more extra activities I plan are based on what the kids like since everyone is unique in their own way and likes/dislikes certain things.

The most important part about being a nanny...

making sure they are safe and just having a fun time! It’s as simple as that!

My experience with special needs children...

I was an ABA Therapist/Behavior Technician is Farmington, CT for over a year and currently working with a kid who is on the spectrum day to day. I do have my Registered Behavior Technician Certification and it is still active and up to date.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love the fun and silly moments, enjoying the outside adventures and seeing a kid excited to see me every day!! Just laughing and being happy together is my favorite moment. But my all time favorite memory is when I bake with the kids I care for. Even if it’s as simple as pancakes, it meant so much to me. Working on a project together really shows the type of relationship and rapport you have with them.
