I also have 2–3 years of experience working with students with special needs, particularly children with autism. I love planning developmentally appropriate activities for different ages. For daycare and preschool ages, I enjoy sensory play, story time, music and movement, simple crafts, early learning games, and hands-on exploration. For elementary ages, I enjoy homework help, STEM activities, reading support, creative arts, outdoor games, sports, and activities that build independence and confidence.

The most important part of being a nanny to me is creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children can grow, learn, and feel valued. I believe it's important to build trust with both the children and their parents, encourage positive development, and provide consistent care that meets each child's individual needs. Knowing that I can make a positive impact on a child's well-being and development is what I find most rewarding about being a nanny.

I have over 2 years of experience working with students with special needs, particularly children with autism, in classroom and school-based settings. I provide patient, individualized support using structured routines, visual supports, and positive behavior strategies to help children feel safe, engaged, and successful. One of my favorite teaching experiences was working with a Pre-K student named Jordan who is autistic. When I first began working with him, he was very quiet, preferred independent play, and rarely interacted with peers or participated in group activities such as circle time. Through consistent routines, patience, and structured support, I was able to support gradual growth in his communication and classroom participation.
Over time, Jordan began using more words to express his needs, participating in short group activities, and slowly engaging with classmates during play. One especially meaningful moment was when he independently approached another child and began sharing and playing alongside them. Seeing his confidence build and watching him start to connect with others was truly rewarding.
