as a nanny all throughout high school and college and now as a Registered Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
is making kids forget about electronics. I'm the nanny that is going to sit your children in front of the TV or iPad and walk away. From building make-shift forts to adventures outside, your kids and I will have FUN! (P.S.- sometimes I have to stop myself because I can get more wrapped up in a game than the kids I'm babysitting.)
The most important part about being a nanny...
is playing and having fun while also providing a safe environment for your children. I want you as the parent to be able to go to work/spend some time away from your kid(s) and not have to worry about a single thing.
My experience with special needs children...
As a PICU nurse, I'm surrounded by incredibly sick children everyday. I also have some experience working with autistic children outside of the hospital. My true passion is working with special needs children and feel comfortable caring for whatever extra needs are required.
The most important part about being a nanny...
the mother of one of the families that I nanny for called me and said that her son woke and told her that he had a dream about us playing in the backyard together and that it was one of his favorite dreams ever. #proudnannymoment
