A little bit about me

My name is Sarah and I am a 19-year-old student at the University of Houston, seeking a degree in History with a minor in Education. I am really passionate about helping children succeed and matriculate to college. I have experience babysitting for multiple family members throughout high school, ages ranging from 2-10-year-old children. Additionally, this past summer I was a full-time 8th-grade Writing teacher with Breakthrough Houston, a non-profit that provides summer classes to high achieving students. I received weeks of training to not only prepare me to create lesson plans, but how to establish community, culture, and trust with my students.
