Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteer with Agape Pamoja, which is a volunteer organization meant to help refugees in the downtown area. Every second Saturday of every month, the organization and the volunteers will help pick up some of the kids (if their parents don’t have a car to drop them off) and bring them to a gym, where we basically play games with them and teach them about Jesus.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
anything active! I love competitions, like running, or seeing who can do something the fastest, as long as it stays light hearted and they don’t feel bad if they don’t win against a sibling—if so, it’s super easy to divert the attention elsewhere.
My experience with special needs children...
I don’t have any! I know special needs teenagers that I work well with, but I am not familiar or close with a special needs child.
