More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My experience includes working as a part time babysitter for several families as needed, where I was responsible for surprising children, light meal prep, assisting with homework, and organizing fun activities to keep them engaged. I am most comfortable with toddlers and school-aged children, but have some limited experience with infants and understand the extra responsibilities that comes with caring for them.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy activities that are creative, fun
and educational. Arts and crafts are always fun. Bring out the paints, markers, and paper and let the children's creativity flow. Or for something a little easier and less messy, I enjoy creating simple crafts such as making braided or beaded bracelets. Whatever the kiddos come up with and are within my capabilities, I am open to! Another activity that I find to be both fun and educational is playing board games and puzzles! I believe these are a great way to teach children problem-solving skills. I enjoy playing games that are appropriate for any age and that challenge them to think outside the box. Outdoor activities anre essential for a child's development, and I always try to fit time outside into our day. From playing at the park, going for a bike ride, sports or simply exploring the backyard, there are endless opportunities for fun. Outdoor activities help build healthy habits and explore the world around them.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe communication is key when it comes to caring for children, and I am always willing to listen and respond to their needs Making sure the child or children’s wants and needs are met, within the perimeters that the parents have set or the expectations the parents have set for their children! I also do my best to be as patient, kind and responsible, and understand the importance of providing a positive and supportive environment for children to thrive in; making the experience comfortable, fun and safe for both the kids and parents, as well as myself.
My experience with special needs children...
I have only babysat for my friend’s children who both have severe autism and a tendency to become upset and temperamental very suddenly. They were 10 and 13 years old at the time and it wasn’t easy at first to understand how to make them feel better but once I took the time to just sit and work through there feelings with them we always came up with a solution and were able to steer clear of most situations like that in the future.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I had taken the children I was caring for to the park near their house. We had played on the playground and had a picnic lunch. As the day was winding down, the oldest child, Aiden, asked if we could play a game. I suggested we play a game of tag (to get out some extra energy), and the children were thrilled. We started running around the park, laughing and having a great time. The kids were so happy, and I could see that they were really enjoying themselves. As we were playing, I noticed that a group of children had gathered around us, watching us play. Soon enough, they asked if they could join in on the game of tag. I agreed, and before I knew it, we had a big group of children all playing together. I will never forget the joy and excitement on the kid’s faces that day. It was a simple moment, but it was filled with so many belly laughs and pure joy. I felt so grateful to have been able to create such a fun memory. It also made me feel like a carefree kid again!
