Activities I enjoy doing with children...
In my approach to activities with children, I prioritize customization and engagement. I enjoy tailoring each activity to suit the child's educational needs and interests. For instance, I might integrate elements of their curriculum into games or experiments to make learning more enjoyable and relatable. On sunny days, I often organize outdoor games that promote physical activity and exploration, fostering both fun and a connection with nature. Science experiments are another favorite, allowing children to explore concepts hands-on and develop critical thinking skills. Additionally, I'm keen on identifying the child's interests and building activities around them, whether it's art, music, animals, or history. Overall, my approach is flexible and geared towards creating a stimulating and enjoyable environment where children can learn and grow while having fun.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is fostering a nurturing and supportive environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to thrive. This involves building trusting relationships with both the children and their families, understanding their individual needs, and providing personalized care and guidance. Communication is key in this role, ensuring that everyone is on the same page regarding expectations, routines, and any concerns that may arise. Being attentive, patient, and adaptable are also essential qualities. Ultimately, the most important thing about being a nanny is making a meaningful impact on the lives of the children under our care, nurturing their growth, development, and happiness.
My experience with special needs children...
I grew up with my younger step sister and my god brother both being children with special needs. With that I have a lot of experience caring and working with children who have special needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the most rewarding experiences I've had as a nanny is establishing a bond where the children entrusted me, admired me, and felt secure in my care. It brings me immense joy to see that the children I've previously cared for still view me as a part of their family, maintaining a positive and meaningful relationship. Knowing that I played a role in their development and celebrated their milestones fills me with happiness and a sense of fulfillment. One of the most touching moments for me was when, even after I stopped nannying for my previous family, their mom continued to send me updates, and the children would frequently ask if I could come over and spend time with them. It's heartwarming to know that I'm still welcomed into their lives and considered an important part of their family. I'm often invited to their celebrations and love that they think of me.
