The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where kids feel comfortable to be themselves. It’s not just about watching them—it’s about showing up with patience, consistency, and kindness. Kids remember how you made them feel, and being someone they can trust and have fun with makes a lasting impact.
My experience with special needs children...
Yes, I do have some experience. One of my cousins has special needs, and he’s around the same age as me. I’ve helped care for him quite a bit over the years, so I’m familiar with being patient, understanding, and adapting to different needs. While I wouldn’t say I have extensive experience, I’m comfortable, willing to learn, and always approach caregiving with empathy and respect.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments was when a little boy I was babysitting came over to my house, and we started playing with all the old toys I had from when I was a kid. It was so nostalgic—I felt like a kid all over again. We had such a fun time laughing, playing, and just being silly together. It reminded me how special it is to connect with kids through simple, genuine moments like that.

Babysitter Available in Sandy, UT: Lydia S.
Hi! My name is Lydia, I’m 19 years old and a proud mom to an amazing 2-year-old little boy! I graduated high school in 2025 with a 4.0 GPA. I’m outgoing, patient, creative, and absolutely love working with children. I enjoy playing sports, hiking, exploring new places, doing crafts, and learning new hobbies. I’d much rather take kids on adventures, visit parks, make crafts, play games, and create memories than have them sit in front of a TV all day. Being a mom has taught me so much about patience, responsibility, and caring for children with different needs and personalities. I’m looking for a family who is comfortable with me bringing my son along while I work. I think it would be a great opportunity for him to socialize and make new friends while I get to do something I genuinely love!.
