A little bit about me

Hello, I’m Savannah! I’m a recent graduate from CBU. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Infancy and Early Childhood Development with a focus on special education. During my undergraduate, I was a personal assistant and program manager for the Dean of Students on our campus. I’ve been a preschool teacher and nanny for the last 5 years as well and have extensive experience working with infants, toddlers, and children personally and in the classroom. During my undergraduate, I specialized in working with infants and have raised infants to toddlerhood with several families. I love working with children and their families, providing any caretaking and home based support I can offer. Nannying is a personal experience and I hope to offer my sincerest support for you and your children while I’m in your home.

The most important part of being a nanny is developing a relationship with the whole family. Getting to know you and your children, your schedules, and your lives helps me understand how I can serve everyone best.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve worked with children with high incidence disabilities including one toddler with Down’s Syndrome, and two toddler and elementary age brothers on the Autism Spectrum. I have a BA degree focus in intervention and have been working with children who receive interventional supports in the mild to severe ranges of disability.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The youngest child I cared for was 3 months old when I started watching her. At the time, her mom was finishing her undergraduate career and needed support while she finished her schooling. I watched the baby until she was 12 months and I was there for her first wave, first words, fist solid foods, and first steps. I loved every minute and I still think about her often.
