Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My childcare experience began helping care for younger family members and later volunteering in nursery and toddler rooms at my former church. Since turning 18, I have gained paid experience through babysitting, word-of-mouth referrals, local groups, and summer nannying. I have cared for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, elementary-aged children, and middle schoolers. I am comfortable with bottle-feeding, formula preparation, age-appropriate activities, homework help, simple meals, bedtime routines, potty-training support, and light childcare-related household tasks. I am CPR and First Aid certified, have a valid driver's license, and have my own transportation.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing arts and crafts, reading, imaginative play, building with blocks or LEGO, puzzles, board games, baking, and age-appropriate educational activities indoors. Outdoors, I enjoy going to parks, taking walks, playing games, riding bikes or scooters, exploring nature, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and other active play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most to me about being a nanny is building a trusting relationship with the children and being someone they feel safe, comfortable, and happy around. I also love being able to support their growth and development, whether that means helping them learn something new, encouraging their interests, or simply being there for the little everyday moments. Being dependable for both the children and their families is also very important to me. I want families to know they can count on me, and I want the children to know that I will be there for them. Seeing the relationships and trust I build with the children grow over time is one of the most rewarding parts of being a nanny.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the sweetest and most memorable parts of working with children is seeing how excited they get to see me. I love pulling up and seeing them watching out the window, waiting for me to arrive, or hearing them say how excited they are for me to come back when I leave for the day. Knowing that I’ve built a relationship where they feel safe, happy, and excited to spend time with me and that they genuinely enjoy playing with me always makes my heart feel so full. Those moments remind me how special it is to be someone a child looks forward to seeing.
